The world’s best footballers in 2014 – four Germans, three Argentines and unstoppable Cristiano Ronaldo.

1. Cristiano Ronaldo

For atop towering Cristiano Ronaldo sovereign and alone. He is dominant, frightening and extreme. Every time you miss a game, so you feel that you are missing out on a hat-trick. And he plays against incredibly good players. The distance from Ronaldo and Messi are great, but the two are sovereign. The difference between Messi and Ronaldo is that the latter has slightly better numbers and was a bit more decisive in 2014 for Ronaldo scored 62 goals namely 61 games in all competitions. He also had 22 assists. Lionel Messi, delivered 58 goals and 21 assists in 66 games.

2. Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi need to settle for second place, and Messi plays on a team that works considerably worse in 2014. What distinguishes Messi, Ronaldo is simply production. There is a difference there, although Messi has delivered tremendous numbers,

3. Arjen Robben

One of football’s most iconic moment in 2014 was when Arjen Robben completely parked Spain’s defenders and humiliated the reigning world champion. Besides a strong VM, Arjen Robben has also been brutally good for Bayern Munich. There is not a defender in the world who are not dizzy after 90 minutes against Arjen Robben.

4. Manuel Neuer

Manuel Neuer have barely been beaten in the battle for third place, but Neuer has tactical significance for his team Bayern Munich   because Neuer stands so high and absorbs the space that occurs behind the other players, it must seem like a dream having Manuel Neuer behind. He is the most reliable goalkeeper the world has ever seen. Extreme pondus, extreme in the field and so amazingly good with the ball at his feet. But Germany’s national team goalkeeper was not at its best in 2014, and some blunders argues this.

5. Thomas Müller

Looks more like an IT consultant than a football player, but Thomas Müller is well on its way to becoming the all-time highest scorer. He is playing  is a bit difficult to really thrilled when he appears as a struggle. He is extremely smart and precise in everything he does. Unlike many of the others, he must be incredibly easy to play with because it increasingly is Müller’s profits than Neuer profits that Germany won the World Cup. He is never careless, he is always looking for goals and he takes with him success all the time. He is a less aesthetically player that is doing so well, and it shows that there is no blueprint on how to become a top player.

6. Sergio Agüero

Sergio Agüero on top, and such small plugs can decide games on his own, just think how good he could be if he were not so plagued by injury, if he could replaced rehabilitation with development. He has a goal rate per game that is almost 1: 1. Argentina missed him when he was not playing, the only thing that pulls him down is injury problems.

7. Philipp Lahm

He is by far the most versatile and it says a lot about a player that he can play in three, four or five roles and still deliver stable at a high level. Whether he plays against Paderborn or Brazil, so he plays to a seven or eight on the stock exchange. At full-back, he does everything he should do; he solves because job defensively very well and ahead emerges things neat and streamlined. The world’s best but also tedious player,. That’s a pretty strong signal when Guardiola says the German press that this is the wisest football player he has ever coached. When Guardiola came to Bavaria, he said that Lahm was too good to be used at right-back.

8. Toni Kroos

Toni Kroos was the representative of the creative in German football and in 2014 had similar role for both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. Everything had to stop Kroos in Bayern, where entire philosophy revolved around him. What also impresses is that when one comes to the world’s biggest club, as are all players needing a break-in period, but it did not Kroos. it did not Kroos. He has won almost everything he has participated in and should have their share of the credit for the Real Madrid looks so strong like they do now. He had no need to break in and took the level immediately, he appears complete.

9. Ángel Di María

Manchester United’s super signing comes as number 9. Mainly because of what he delivered at Real Madrid, but also because he has been able to go into his new club and strengthen the team immediately. He was man of the match in the Champions League final and delivered a bunch of goals and assists. He is very difficult to stop. Unpredictable in style, very wise and dribbling in a very high pace.

10. Luis Suárez

Luis Suárez achievements first half of 2014 was best in his world, but the second half was far less impressive. Uruguayan went to Barcelona after several months of suspension for biting another player in the World Cup and in his new club he was not in good shape. The performances for Liverpool was absolutely incredible and it was not just a one-man performance. He is an extremely good team player and much comes from his personality, which has created both football player and troublemaker. Without suspension had him performing better in Barcelona.
